My husband Rick and I (Liz) grew up on farms. Farming with our families kept us busy until college came along. After high school, I went into teaching and Rick went into machining, and sometime after graduating, we found one another. We bought a piece of land in the Portland, Oregon metro area and did some small-scale farming for over 38 years. In 2015, we decided we wanted to move on to something where we could farm on a larger scale and give back to our community. To us, that was Living the Dream.
