About Us

Living Dream Farm est. 2015

My husband (Rick) and I (Liz) grew up on farms.  Farming with our families kept us busy till college came along.  After high school, I went into teaching and Rick went into machining, and sometime after graduating, we found one another.  We bought a piece of land in the Portland, Oregon metro area and did some small-scale farming for over 38 years.  In 2015, we decided we wanted to move on to something where we could farm on a larger scale and give back to our community.  To us, that was Living the Dream.

We want to be good stewards of the land we farm on and recognize that we are temporary caretakers of this land. We believe in leaving the land in better shape than we found it. Here at Living the Dream, we acknowledge that our farm is on the indigenous people's traditional lands and pay our respects to elders both past and present.

Ever since a young age, I enjoyed kids, animals and growing Dahlias.  I would bring Dahlias to my office to share. The joy on co-workers, friends and family faces upon receiving them was something that made my heart happy.  Alongside growing flowers, we raise 100% Grass fed & finished, USDA certified Angus & White-Faced Hereford cattle.

In "Barbara's Chickie Coop" resides a great flock of cage-free hens who freely forage in their large open air hardwired "chicken-run" with attached deluxe hen house. My sister, Barbara Jo, loved our chickens and when she passed in 2018 we dedicated the facility in her honor. We're so excited to have you, and look forward to having you join us along this journey!
